Bokey TimeF1 Factory presents a 1:1 deep reproduction of the Santos-Dumont XL Hand-Wound watch inspired by Cartier. The original model, introduced at Watches & Wonders 2020, features a larger and more masculine design with refined proportions and a hand-wound mechanical movement concept.
Case size: 46.6 × 33.9mm. Following the success of the medium and small Santos-Dumont quartz models launched in 2019, this enlarged XL version is designed for a stronger wrist presence and more masculine wearing style. It is equipped with a Caliber 430MC-style workshop-inspired hand-wound mechanical movement.
The case is made of Finland 316F+L stainless steel, with material properties close to 904L steel. The case structure is developed using 3D scanning and CNC machining to ensure high dimensional accuracy and tight assembly consistency.
The internal case structure is deeply engineered for movement housing and fixation, resulting in a solid and substantial wrist feel typical of a mechanical watch.
The movement is a customized Asia version 430MC-style hand-wound mechanical movement with approximately 36 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Although this is a closed caseback design, the movement plates are engraved with dual-C style markings, closely resembling the appearance of the original Caliber 430MC architecture.
The dial is CNC-engraved with a triple-layer silver plating process, featuring railway minute track details, elongated Roman numerals, and a sunray-brushed texture for a clear and refined visual effect.
The crystal is double-sided high-transparency sapphire glass imported from France, improving clarity and reducing glare.
The strap is upgraded with a titanium-end-link reinforced leather strap structure for improved durability and wrist comfort. The case and strap integration is precisely engineered with quick-release spring bars for easy interchange. Strap options include Italian calfskin with crocodile embossing and American crocodile leather in multiple colors, using high-grade belly-cut leather for improved texture and comfort.
The hands are heat-blued steel hands with smooth gradient color changes under light reflection.
The crown is crafted using five-axis machining, featuring a rounded bead-like shape with a polished finish. The crown is set with a blue synthetic cabochon-style stone that shows a translucent luster under light.
The case finishing combines brushed and polished surfaces, with sharp transitions and exposed screw details for enhanced visual depth and structure.
The full set includes matching tag, warranty card, and serialized caseback code consistency.
