This automatic mechanical wristwatch is developed with a focus on a full-featured perpetual calendar system inspired by the design architecture of the Master Calendar series. It is built on a modified imported mechanical movement designed to simulate multiple calendar functions in a unified mechanism.
Function Overview
Perpetual Calendar Function
The watch features an adjustment system via a concealed push button at the 8 o’clock position, allowing month calibration of the calendar module. The annual cycle is designed to run continuously, with year indication spanning from 2023 to 2028 to facilitate simplified module management.
Calendar, Day, and Month Dials
The date display at 3 o’clock can be adjusted via the first crown position.
Forward rotation advances the date, while reverse rotation moves it backward (reverse adjustment is not recommended as it may affect the moon phase system).
The day display at 9 o’clock is adjusted through the second crown position with 24-hour linked control.
The month display at 6 o’clock is adjusted via a concealed push button at the 8 o’clock position. A dedicated adjustment tool is included to assist operation.
Each sub-dial is independently adjustable for improved usability.
Warning Indicator Window
A sector-shaped indicator located above the central axis of the dial shows a white zone for safe adjustment periods. When displayed in blue, it indicates a restricted time zone during which calendar adjustment should be avoided to prevent movement damage. This is a structural feature of the movement design.
Moon Phase Function
Located at 12 o’clock, the moon phase display completes one full cycle every 30 days. It can be adjusted through the first crown position with reverse rotation, enabling independent correction of the lunar phase display.
An instruction card is included to assist users with proper adjustment procedures.
Case and Dial Construction
Case Material and Dimensions
The case, bezel, and case back are manufactured from stainless steel using CNC precision machining. The design follows a 39mm case diameter with an approximate thickness of 10mm, aiming to maintain proportions close to the original reference design while accommodating a fully functional complication layout.
Dial Structure
The dial is manufactured with multi-layer construction consistent with the original layout. All markers are individually molded for enhanced dimensional depth and light reflection. The three sub-dials are recessed in the same manner as the reference design, with clearly defined layering between moon phase and calendar apertures.
Hands and Finishing
The watch uses dauphine-style hands with a dual-finish surface (brushed and polished). The hands are slightly curved using controlled forming techniques. The blued steel hand coloration is achieved through heat treatment to produce a stable and uniform blue tone.
Closing Statement
This timepiece aims to replicate the structural logic and functional complexity of a high-end perpetual calendar wristwatch. The design prioritizes mechanical functionality, dial authenticity, and overall visual balance, offering a multi-complication experience within a refined wristwatch format.
