It features an ultra-lightweight case and exceptional shock resistance, engineered to withstand extreme acceleration during impact. Notably, Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk wore this model when crossing the finish line to win gold.
Inspired by racing car chassis construction, Richard Mille integrates the skeletonized baseplate with the case into a single unified structure, significantly enhancing shock resistance. To further reduce weight, the brand partnered with North Thin Ply Technology to develop a highly durable quartz fiber material. The result is an incredibly lightweight case with a textured appearance reminiscent of Damascus steel.
Through the sapphire crystal, the full movement structure is visible. At 6 o’clock sits the floating tourbillon, while at 12 o’clock is Richard Mille’s proprietary fast-rotating barrel system, delivering up to 52 hours of power reserve and improving energy efficiency by 20% during initial winding.
The white bezel is secured to the case with 12 grade 5 titanium screws, complemented by an orange strap and red crown. For enhanced legibility, the tips of the hour and minute hands are highlighted in bright orange tones.
This model features a full carbon fiber case, sapphire crystal front and caseback, carbon fiber dial, floating tourbillon movement with 19 jewels, approximately 52 hours of power reserve, a woven strap, titanium clasp, and water resistance up to 50 meters.
