The RM27-03 tourbillon watch features an instantly striking red and yellow color scheme: representing the colors of Spain, Rafael Nadal’s homeland, along with subtle tones reminiscent of the red clay courts of the French Open. Its bold and unforgettable tourbillon movement design showcases a powerful bull’s head formed by the skeletonized bridge above the central mechanical movement. Beneath the “bull head,” the barrel, gear train, and tourbillon escapement are clearly visible. The bull symbolizes Spain and is also Nadal’s chosen emblem.
Like the previous RM27, RM27-01, and RM27-02 models, the entire movement is suspended within the center of the case to reduce intense shocks during motion. To achieve extreme shock resistance, Richard Mille integrates cutting-edge material science and precision engineering—utilizing TPT quartz to create a monobloc case and baseplate, while the bridges are made from Grade 5 titanium. The tourbillon structure is manufactured with astonishing precision.
The orange case and strap are inspired by the Spanish flag, while the crown is uniquely shaped like a tennis ball. The black and grey Carbon TPT baseplate reveals layered carbon fiber patterns, and the skeletonized bridge design of the movement draws inspiration from the powerful image of a bull.
