RICHARD MILLE has once again collaborated with legendary tennis player Rafael Nadal to introduce a stunning new timepiece — the RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal. This watch is exceptionally lightweight and can withstand shocks of up to 14,000g acceleration, making it the lightest and most robust tourbillon watch ever created.
The RM 27-05 took 5 years to develop and features a brand-new carbon fiber composite material — Carbon TPT® B.4. This high-tech material offers 4% higher density than standard Carbon TPT®, with a 15% increase in fiber rigidity and 30% improvement in resin strength. Its anisotropic structural optimization ensures extreme durability while maintaining ultra-lightweight performance, delivering the strongest shock resistance in the series to date.
The crystal is crafted from PMMA ultra-light polymer instead of traditional sapphire, significantly reducing weight while offering enhanced transparency and anti-glare performance.
The fully skeletonized dial reveals a unique geometric mechanical aesthetic — the V-shaped bridges and tourbillon cage create a striking visual impact. The openworked barrel clearly displays the winding status, with the winding gear train positioned at 2 o’clock and a layered gear system at 8 o’clock, forming a perfectly integrated mechanical structure.
