New release: IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar watch, one of the most complex models in the series. This version is designed to replicate the full functional layout of the original timepiece, with all complications operating in synchronization through crown-based adjustment.
The watch is built with a fully integrated movement architecture, featuring a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, ensuring stable performance and smooth operation.
The dial layout includes a moon phase and celestial display at 12 o’clock, an independent small seconds with weekday indicator at 9 o’clock, a month indicator at 6 o’clock, and a year display at the 7 o’clock position, which advances annually in coordination with the perpetual calendar system. At 3 o’clock, the watch features a power reserve indicator combined with a date display. Each hand and sub-dial is designed to function independently, avoiding the simplified constructions often seen in lower-tier versions.
The case is constructed using a three-piece structure with alternating brushed and polished finishing. The domed sapphire crystal enhances visual depth and improves overall clarity while adding a premium tactile appearance.
With a case size of 42.2mm by 14.9mm, the watch is powered by a base movement inspired by the Portugieser seven-day architecture, upgraded with a perpetual calendar module. It offers stable power delivery of over 72 hours and maintains reliable performance under daily wear conditions.
Each watch undergoes pre-shipment regulation and testing. Once received, it is ready to wear after simple winding. Users are advised to avoid random adjustments; when regulation is required, follow a specific sequence to ensure correct calendar alignment.
This release focuses on mechanical complexity, visual balance, and traditional perpetual calendar aesthetics, presenting a high-complication style inspired by classic Swiss watchmaking design.
